Viking Festival. Co Louth.

The Crepe Man journeyed north last summer to Annagassan, Co Louth to attend the Viking festival. Since the 1st Annagassan Viking festival in 2008, visitor numbers and interest has grown substantially. The festival features living history re-enactments, Viking battles and weapons displays with the Magnus Viking Group from Killyleagh in Co. Down and the Danish Frederickssund Viking re-enactment group, both annual visitors.The festival is part of a greater Viking movement in Annagassan that culminated in the community-led discovery of the Viking Longphort of Linn Duachaill in 2010.
